Editorial policy
1. Who we are, and what we are not
bestaipokerbots.com is an independent editorial publication about poker software. We rank and compare tools; we do not build, sell, resell, license or support any of them. Nobody can buy anything from us, and we hold no commercial interest in any product performing well at the tables.
We are not a vendor's marketing department, not an affiliate network's landing page, and not a support desk for software we did not write.
2. Who writes and edits
Material is written and edited by Martin J Reis, a poker software analyst who has been testing poker AI since 2019. His background, his own testing method and the limits of that method are described in the author block at the foot of the ranking.
One person writes and one person is accountable. There is no anonymous content on this site.
3. Our texts are not professional advice
Nothing published here is financial, legal or professional advice. Poker carries a real risk of losing money and no software removes it.
Third-party assistance software violates the terms of service of most poker platforms. We describe what vendors offer and what the rules say; the decision to use any of it, and everything that follows from that decision, belongs to the reader. The site is for adults aged 18 or over.
4. The editorial process
- Screening. We assemble the candidate list from vendor sites, poker forums and public discussion, and we look at everything that plausibly belongs in the category.
- Collection. For each candidate we record only what the vendor publishes: supported rooms, per-room format tables, prices, platform requirements, support languages and any performance figures.
- Scoring. Each tool is assessed against the criteria groups described in the ranking policy.
- Editing. Every number in the text is checked back against its source before publication.
- Publication. The date on the page is the date the facts were last verified.
5. Sources of information
Our primary source is the vendor's own published documentation. Where a vendor publishes a real per-room table, we use that table and not the summary on its home page — the two frequently disagree, and the table is the one that describes what actually works in a specific room.
Where a vendor publishes nothing on a point, we write "not published". We do not estimate, infer or fill the gap from a competitor's data.
Performance figures published by vendors are recorded as vendor claims and labelled as such. We did not reproduce them. Where a figure was produced against an independent opponent over a stated sample, we say so and name the opponent and the sample.
6. Principles we do not break
- No invented facts, prices, features or credentials.
- No invented reviews and no invented people.
- Missing data is marked as missing, never guessed.
- A vendor's claim is labelled as a claim, not presented as a measurement.
- Criticism of the tool that ranks first is published alongside the praise.
- Payment does not move a position. Ever.
7. Updating material
The ranking is reviewed quarterly, and sooner if something material changes — a price move, a format dropped, a version release. Every revision is logged in the "what changed" section with the reason.
We do not silently edit a published claim. If a correction changes the meaning, the change is recorded.
8. Advertising
This site sells no advertising. There is no ad network in these pages, no sponsored posts, no paid placements and no affiliate arrangements. We earn nothing from any vendor named here, and no outbound link on this site is monetised — every one of them carries a plain rel="nofollow".
Positions and scores could not be bought even if someone offered. No vendor sees the text before it is published and no vendor has approval over it. If any of this ever changes, it will be stated here and in the footer of every page before it takes effect.
9. Quotation and copyright
You may quote this material with attribution and a link to the page you quoted. Wholesale republication is not permitted.
Product names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used here to identify the products under discussion.
10. Corrections and feedback
If a fact here is wrong, tell us and include a source. Corrections with a source are the fastest thing we handle. Write through the support page or to hello@bestaipokerbots.com.
